Visionary Woman Award 2012

OWL's Visionary Woman Award honors a woman who has contributed significantly to helping women advance in eye care.  The award will be presented at OWL's signature Monday evening reception held in conjunction with the ASCRS annual meeting in Chicago.

Award criteria:
  • Any woman in any position within eye care is eligible for the award
  • Nominees should have demonstrated leadership in helping women to advance in eye care.  (For example: mentoring/sponsorship of promising women; diversity advocacy; advancing herself as a "trailblazer")
  • Each current OWL member may nominate one woman for the award
Nominations will be accepted online through March 7, 2012.  OWL members will be invited to vote for one of three finalists.  The award winner will be announced prior to the ASCRS event.
