“When the whistle blows, the play is over,” says Mimi Donaldson in a keynote address before a packed room of Ophthalmic Women Leaders (OWL) and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO) members and their guests.

Using the lessons from football as a metaphor for the game of life along with her own brand of humor, Mimi kept her audience in fits of laughter during OWL's Monday evening event at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, this year held jointly with WIO.
