You can become involved as a volunteer in ways that suit your schedule and strengths.
Speaker or Program Organizer: As an OWL speaker or program organizer, you will work with the OWL office staff and the OWL programs committee to plan an event or speak at one. Time commitment is dependent on the project.
Organize an Event: Work with the OWL staff and programs committee to help organize an event, or act as a volunteer at an event. Time commitment is dependent on event, and your role in the planning.
Write for an OWL publication: Ophthalmic Woman Magazine is always on the lookout for additional writers, both regular contributors (the magazine is issued quarterly) or one time contributions in a variety of topics.
Serve on an OWL committee: OWL has many different committees you can participate in. Most include monthly conference calls, and some work between calls. Ideally, committee members would have an average of 1-2 hours per week to dedicate to the work of the committee.

Programs Committee: Online programs, Mentoring & Coaching program, programs during ASCRS, AAO and ARVO meetings, and more
Development Committee: Industry support, individual contributions and fundraising events
